<\/p>\nDr. Vladan Stevanovi\u0107, as a respected ESSKA educator, trains and educates orthopedists from all over the world as part of the association’s mentoring program. ESSKA (European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy) is a European association for sports traumatology, knee surgery and arthroscopy.<\/p>\n
ESSKA brings together orthopedic surgeons, clinicians and scientists across Europe, together with their various societies.<\/p>\n
SENIOR FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM<\/p>\n
ESSKA scholarship programs are a valuable tool. They select promising surgeons – our hopes for the future – and send them to the current „star“ surgeons in their institutions. The range of scholarships is wide: 13 separate programs, with more than 80 positions, ranging from one week to one month. The program is intended for orthopedic specialists in Europe, over 40 years old, in order to establish contact and cooperation with so-called „opinion leaders“ in a specific field.<\/p>\n
In collaboration with ESSKA, 5 scholarships are available per year for the „ESSKA Alvin Jagger Award for Advanced Career Development“ to visit an ESSKA Center of Excellence for a weekly internship.<\/p>\n

In a strict selection, Dr. William Hanna (UK) had the opportunity to spend 7 days with Klin Ass Dr. Vladan Stevanovi\u0107 as a certified ESSKA teacher (ESSKA Teacher) in his work at the Institute of Orthopedics „Banjica“ as well as the General Hospital „Atlas“<\/p>\n

Of particular note are the possibilities of complex orthopedic surgery performed at the „Atlas“ General Hospital, where, after an extremely demanding arthroscopically assisted intervention, the function and mobility of the knee was enabled for the patient after years of treatment as a result of a complicated joint fracture.<\/p>\n
This practice will continue in the future, and colleagues from India are expected to visit in January 2020 as part of the development of the Education Center of the „Atlas“ General Hospital.<\/p>\n
